Top Recommended Hotels in Wisconsin for 2023

While many not have realized it, Brookfield, Wisconsin and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, have become major destination stops for tourists. From the cooler weather and miles of rural land to the cities with their art and architecture, there’s always something to see and do here. But when you need a great hotel to stay in, there’s only a few that make the cut.

If you’re going to visit somewhere, you might as well pick a place that’s comfortable, unique, and convenient to your itinerary. Whether you’re looking for something affordable just outside of town or something more upscale in the heart of the downtown area, these four hotels will cover all of your bases.

Hampton Inn Brookfield

No matter where you’re staying, a Hampton Inn is always a safe choice. Affordable, reliable, and always swanky for the price, it’s hard to beat this chain. And the Hampton Inn in Brookfield, Wisconsin is no exception. With continental breakfast, indoor pool, comfortable rooms, and only 15 miles from the downtown area of Milwaukee, it’s hard to beat this combination of price accessibility.

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Milwaukee West (Brookfield)

Another tried and true chain, Country Inn & Suites always makes for a great stay when visiting the Brookfield/Milwaukee area. With the same great spacious rooms you’ve come to expect from them, they also offer a free hot breakfast and an indoor pool. And best of all, they have rooms for pet owners as well. And with a whirlpool tub, free cookies in the afternoon (my favorite), and a library on site, you’ll never want to leave.

Iron Horse Hotel

Although the Iron Horse is a pricier option, staying there is almost like having a resort to stay in. It’s also a convenient stay, as it’s in the downtown area of Milwaukee and just blocks from several different attractions. The Iron Horse bills itself as upscale, but is the go-to hotel for business travelers and for motorcycle riders. This is perfect for those making their pilgrimage to the Harley-Davidson Museum just up the street. There are also four onsite bars and restaurants serving food and drink throughout the day, making this hotel a great destination.

Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown

Traveling doesn’t get much better than staying in a building that looks like a castle. Hilton built this hotel inside of the historic Loyalty building, which has a regal atrium complete with marble, granite, and iron, giving you a storybook ending to your night. Although the hotel does not have an indoor pool like the others, it is in the heart of Milwaukee and within walking distance of anything you could possibly want to see. Whether you want to spend the day at the museum, walk around the local state park, or enjoy a concert of a professional game, staying here puts you in close proximity to it all.
